November 1, 2016
Trop Rocker Don Middlebrook has released his greatly anticipated new album. ‘Guitar Island’ features eighteen tracks of fantastic music. Middlebrooks most recent previously released album, ‘Songs from Talespin Bay’ won the Trop Rock Music Association Award for ‘Album of the Year’ in 2015.
Middlebrook continues to set the bar high for his fellow Trop Rock artists. The 2015 Trop Rock Association ‘Songwriter of the Year’ Award Winner displays his fantastic songwriting skills once again on ‘Guitar Island’. The writing, singing, and production of ‘Guitar Island’ are all exceptional. This new album will certainly be in the running for additional Trop Rock Music Association awards.
All eighteen tracks are well written. Several featured artists appear on ‘Guitar Island’ including musicians John Patti, Sarah Brunner, Doyle Grisham, Dave Carvalho, Chris Corey, Ricky Nalett, Nikki Fowler and Alistair Beerens and The Growlers. The last track, ‘I Paint A World’ was co-written by Don and John MIddlebroook and well known Key West painter and sculptor, Wyland. Middlebrook, who won the 2015 Trop Rock Music Association award for ‘Charitable Work with Trop Rock music’ continues to give to the community. 100% of the proceeds from downloads of the final track ‘I Paint A World’ goes directly to The Wyland Foundation which helps to educate people about the importance of healthy oceans and waterways.
His new album has been released just in time for Middlebrook’s visit to Key West for the 2016 Meeting of the Minds (MOTM) yearly festival featuring some of Trop Rock’s most talented singer/songwriters and performers. Middlebrook will perform with his band at the 2016 MOTM “Kick Off Party” at Casa Marina on Wednesday November 2 starting at 8pm. Middlebrook will appear throughout the week at various venues for the MOTM festival. Visit his website at donmiddlebrook.net for dates and times.
